Live Music this Thursday

This Thursday, (tomorrow yo) Piergab Pichon, a French grad student at USM, will be playing with Bradley. It's probably going to be an acoustic set because Pierre is awesome. His band, Trema recently signed with Sony's French record label so we are pretty pumped about having him. Come check them out from 6-8:30 tomorrow night. It's gonna be killer.

Fuel for Life

What is Caliente.....

Fuel for living your life. Every business provides a service, and in an extremely simple world, a restaurant or place that serves food is what Caliente would be. But thats not exactly what we want, and a simple world is not exactly what we live in. Not when our individual well-being is a mish-mash of everything from the daily weather to how much sleep we got to of course, how hungry we are. That's why we have a clean, simple, artistic design. Because simplicity around us helps unclutter our mind. It's why we have an awesome friendly staff who enjoys their jobs. So that dealing with an extra attitude is not something you have to think about. It's why we play upbeat music, keeping you energized and giving you a break from the buzz of work. And last but not least, it's the philosophy that goes into the making of our food. We let you tell us how you want it, so you get it just how you like it every time. We make it fresh from scratch so that the flavors are bright, and we stay away from as much fat as possible so that you can feel good about what you ate.

Basically we just want to help you rock the day. That about sums it up.

So many choices, only one option.

I eat the same thing every single day, usually twice, and I still crave it. It's big, it's healthy, and it tastes delicious every single time I eat it. I have only changed twice, but I feel that I am on the verge of changing again as I write this. It started with this....

Big Flour Burrito
Rice
Black Beans
Pork
Pico
Corn
Guac
BBQ Sauce
Cheese

That lasted the entire first year. Until the streak ended I had not even tried the steak on a burrito. It was pork all the way. Then I switched the burrito out for a bowl, subbed chicken for the pork, and cut out the cheese. It still blows me away six months later. Steak has been coming on strong though.... So that is it. That is my Caliente. Let me know what yours is.
